K-Mart Krazy!
This week is Super Doubles week at K-Mart. That means that they will double any coupon up to $2.00! That is a huge savings. Now as far as I'm concerned K-Mart is a lot more expensive than Wal-Mart or Target, but when they double the coupons you can get some really great deals. My picture doesn't do justice to my actual trip, but I got everything you see there for $35.00! The original total was $85.66! You can't beat that with a stick. So right now I'm good on many many items. I did end up going a touch over my original grocery budget but my dear sweet husband said if it would stock us up and I could get carpet fresh for $.25 then he was all for a little over spending. Now I won't have to buy hardly anything on my next grocery trip. Oh and I can't wait to use my ECB's and RR's at CVS & Walgreens. Major savings there too!

Drug Store Run
I went to CVS, Rite-Aid and Walgreens and got some good deals. The problem with this trip is that I am a first timer. What that means is that I had to spend more out of pocket to start getting register rewards and ECB's (extra care bucks from CVS). But I did get some good deals.
Walgreens:
1 listerine
1 reach floss
1 (2pk) of reach toothbrushes
Total Cost: $9.00
Coupon: $3.00 off total
Paid Out of Pocket: $6.00
Earned: $6.00 register rewards to use in the store another time. I basically got it all for free. Not too shabby.
CVS:
1 each Pantene shampoo & conditioner
1 Pantene anti frizz cream
1 Dove deoderant
2 Dove body wash
1 each Dove shampoo & conditioner
1 Revlon lip gloss
1 Revlon cream eyeshadow quad
2 L'oreal hair color
Total Cost: $91.09
Coupons: $41.85
Total Out of Pocket: $49.16
Earned $7.00 ECB's
Rite-Aid
4 Glade Candles
6 Containers of Pringles
Total Cost: $21.94
Coupons: $12.00
Total Out of Pocket: $9.94
Sorry no picture with this run, but not too bad. I now have ECB's & Register Rewards to start using and saving even more money! Yay me!
Budget for week: $230.00
Total Spent: $202.69
Saved Towards Debt: $27.31
It's a start. Now that I have stockpile and only need to add little bits to it I think I'm going to save even more money next time. I'll keep you posted.
Publix, Bi-Lo & Food Lion
Food Lion
So the remaining grocery stores that I shopped at were Publix, Bi-Lo and Food Lion. Not a bad deal at any of them. Publix however didn't have any of the TGIFriday frozen bagged meals that I can get for $2.00 each with coupons. But that's ok because I got my rain check just in case. So here were my totals and savings for each store:

Let's Go Krogering!
Man what a haul at Kroger today! They are having this great sale where if you buy 10 participating products you get $.50 off of each item. You can get a total of 30 participating products which comes to a savings of $15.00. And if you happen to have coupons the savings are even better! My total before coupons or sales was $181.68 and I paid $91.48! That's a 50% savings! Amazing! I love having a full pantry and this sale helped fill it to the brim! Next post Publix, Food Lion & Bi-Lo. Unfortunately my picture doesn't show all the great stuff I got, but there is also 3 gallons of milk and 2 large packs of chicken breasts on here. Oh and don't let me forget the two 12 pack rolls of Klenex Cottonell toilet paper and the 6 pack of Viva paper towels.

Newbie in Town
I began this journey only a short time ago. Although I have always tried to keep a real budget when I went shopping I wasn't using coupons. About a month ago a friend told me about the website www.southernsavers.com and I was hooked! I had no idea that you could save that kind of money at the grocery store. And I surely didn't know that you could get FREE items! So that's where it started and I have been on my way. I have since collected a million (not really but a bunch) coupons, organized them in a 3 ring binder in baseball card holders and made my shopping lists. Tomorrow will be my first real time going into the stores armed and ready. My husband and I have decided to do a little experiment. I will continue to get my normal budget every two weeks to go shopping ($230.00), however what ever amount I save from that budget will go towards our last remaining credit card. Wish me luck! Now go out there and shop smarter everyone!
